Gender Equality and Disability Inclusion Awards 2025
A National Celebration of Champions of Equality and Inclusion
The Gender Equality and Disability Inclusion Awards 2025 will be held on 28th November 2025 at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya. This prestigious event honors individuals and organizations who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to advancing gender equality, disability inclusion, and social justice. The theme for this year’s ceremony is “Inclusive Leadership for Sustainable Development.”
The GEDI Awards 2025 recognizes transformative initiatives, policies, and practices that break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and advance the rights and opportunities of women, men, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups. This year’s awards will highlight innovations, advocacy, and leadership that contribute to Kenya’s progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Leave No One Behind Agenda.
Award Categories
- Gender Equality Champion of the Year – For individuals or institutions advancing gender equity.
- Disability Inclusion Award – For organizations or leaders integrating disability rights and accessibility.
- Inclusive Workplace Award – Honoring employers creating fair and inclusive work environments.
- Community Impact Award – For grassroots initiatives making a difference in local communities.
- Youth Leadership Award – For young changemakers promoting equality and inclusion.
- Policy & Governance Award – For government or institutional actors mainstreaming equality and inclusion into policy frameworks.
Nomination Process
Nominations are now open to the public. Individuals, organizations, companies, and institutions are invited to submit entries by highlighting initiatives, programs, or leaders who embody the spirit of gender equality and disability inclusion.

Event Details
The awards ceremony will take place on 28th November 2025 at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi. The event will feature an award ceremony, panel discussions, exhibitions, and performances.
This event is a great opportunity to celebrate champions who are making Kenya more inclusive and inspire innovation in gender and disability-responsive practices. It will also encourage collaboration across government, civil society, the private sector, and communities while amplifying the voices of persons with disabilities and marginalized groups.
